ABOUT ME

Hello! My name is Lizzy Palmer and I was born and raised in Northern Virginia where I grew to love the diversity of human experiences and listening to podcasts in traffic. I am currently pursuing an M.Ed. in Counseling Education at the University of Virginia, where there is less traffic and more mountains.

I graduated from George Mason University in 2013 with a B.A. in Integrative Studies with a concentration in Elementary Education. In between my educational experiences, I worked for several years in a small-progressively rooted middle and high school. There I was able to hone different skills related to admissions, development, and internship placements. We worked to meet our students where they were and helped them build their unique strengths. My passion is sustainability and experiential learning opportunties. I am interested in answering the question: how can we support our students in becoming life-long learners?
